Art and Sacred Geometry
A brief visual introduction.
To dive into this vast knowledge is an adventure that i recommend, and it is abundantly available on the Internet for those who may want to explore it. Here, i'm just gathering brief pieces that can help provide a basic framework, along with others in which i feel a complementary resonance within the Real contribution of Art as an Elevated Expression of Values intrinsic to Life, a foundation without which it deprives itself from Meaning and Power, depriving us from the Essential Communion that is part of its role to evoke.
To associate Sacred Geometry with Art is not only natural but necessary to relight this Role in Art.
Prior to any rational understanding, Sacred Geometry pulsates and breathes in life, it transpires into Art,
both explicitly and implicitly, as the purest expression
of Creativity.
As the very term Sacred differentiates, Sacred Geometry is not a human invention, it is the human discovery of the Original Creation Matrix, of the invisible made visible by Pure Consciousness
via our self-revealed multidimensionality.
The pattern universally known as the Flower of Life contains all Principles of Creation, the basis of all form, symmetry, proportion that comprise the Universal Architecture.
The Fruit of Life, which is only revealed on the third movement of Creation, implicit but deliberately invisible in the pattern of the Flower of Life, is its secret, the most sacred form, for it is the Result, the fabric of Reality manifested by Creation, of which the five platonic solids are the primordial forms.
Here's a succinct visual and verbal presentation, based on the work The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, Volumes I and II by Drunvalo Melchizedek, which i possess in its Brazilian edition, and is available for download in its original edition: Vol. I and Vol. II.
The presentation above is included in the next video, more comprehensive, dedicated to Sacred Geometry.
And here's a presentation where this teaching is practiced and transmitted through Art.
A question persists:
- Why aren't we taught this knowledge in school,
as part of all observable knowledge?
Even so, geometric design has always exerted a fascination over me. Symmetry, Proportion, Precision are Values with which i have always felt a natural affinity, manifested in my way of being and doing things rather than in a longing for external knowledge. This was actually revealed in school, within the academic subject called Visual Education, in which i had the best marks without effort, in disastrous contrast with the so-called exact subjects, unfortunately academically dissociated from this Matrix.
Drawing with compass in particular, and other precision design instruments in general, exerts a spontaneous attraction to many of us, because it invokes
the Origin in us.
And the importance of invoking the Origin in us is that It contains our Destiny. Hence the importance of returning to the Centre, where we ReConnect with the Essence of Being - Alpha and Omega contain each other.
Beauty is the Value we redeem in this Encounter.
It serves no useful purpose, but it Serves Life in us,
nourishing us above any utility.
To Beauty we surrender, as to everything that invokes a
Unity Sense in us, the Self-Realisation inherent to the Art of Being Total.
The documentary i include below highlights and clarifies the importance of Beauty, in Art and in Life as a whole.
Graffiti, therein mentioned for its negative aspect, has been assuming itself as an integrative artistic expression rather than an invasive one. The new generation of so-called Street Artists is leaving a new statement on its trail: it no longer seeks to vandalise what is viewed as unwelcome or to impose signatures without artworks, like tags and other written expressions that only make sense to the writers themselves and do not contribute in any way to the harmony of space - which made the previous generation equally unwelcome - but rather
to show what Is Welcome, expressing
Harmony as the foundation of Art.
What Art are we bringing on ?
